About IHN

“Interfaith Hospitality Network of the Madison Area serves homeless families by mobilizing religious communities to provide shelter and meals, by working with families to overcome barriers to self-sufficiency and by raising awareness of social justice issues.”

“In a typical Interfaith Hospitality Network, half of the guests are children, most of whom are under six years of age.”

St. Dunstan’s participates as a buddy church with St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Middleton to provide shelter and meals for the IHN homeless families for a one-week period three to four times per year. Our responsibilities include hosting and providing dinner and breakfast, playing with the kids, helping with homework, and staying overnight. Making this program work requires a lot of volunteers. Coordinator for St. Dunstan’s is Evy Gildrie-Voyles.
