Capital Campaign Survey Is Coming! The next step in our exploration of a possible capital campaign is a congregation-wide survey about our possible projects and priorities. We encourage every household to participate. The survey will be sent out at the beginning of February. You can receive it either online or on paper. If you would prefer the survey on paper, please let us know by Wednesday, January 17, by talking to Rev. Miranda, signing the paper survey sign-up sheet, emailing , or calling the office at 608-238-2781.
THIS WEEK…
Sunday school, Sunday, January 14, 10am: This week, our 3-year-old through kindergarten class will receive the story of Epiphany, while our elementary classes reflect on the story of the calling of Samuel. All kids ages 3 through 5th grade are invited to participate!
Seeking kids who love to read out loud! We are looking for strong readers, kids and youth, who would like to join the group of people – called lectors – who read our Bible readings out loud in church on their assigned Sundays (usually once every few months). We ask kids to sign up WITH a parent or other adult who will be responsible for responding to emails about scheduling, keeping track of the calendar, and printing out readings (sent by email a few days ahead) for the young reader to practice. If you know a kid who’d like to be a lector, or if you ARE a kid who’d like to be a lector, please let us know by talking to Rev. Miranda or emailing her at .
Call for Annual Report Submission: Every year in December/January, we invite our ministry leaders to submit a paragraph or two about what their ministry is and what they’ve done in the past year. We then compile those reports into an Annual Report, and share it with the congregation in advance of our parish Annual Meeting (9am on Sunday, January 21). This year we thought we’d cast the net more widely. If you have something you’d like to share, as a special moment, thanksgiving, or success to share, whether from a particular ministry of just something from the life of this household of faith, you’re welcome to submit it to . The deadline for all Annual Report materials is Monday, January 15.
Pledge envelopes: If you have had pledge/contribution envelopes in the past or requested envelopes on your pledge card, they will be on the table outside the nave door on Sunday. If you would like envelopes please contact Valerie at .
